Daily care for scrubber driers and single disc machines
Floor machines need a few minutes of care after each shift. Skipping this is the most common reason for streaky floors, bad smells and early repairs.
- Empty and rinse the recovery tank after every use, and leave the lid open so it can dry.
- Wipe the squeegee blades and check them for nicks or wear – a damaged blade leaves water lines behind.
- Remove pads and brushes, rinse them and let them dry before the next shift.
- Charge batteries as the manufacturer recommends and keep the charging area ventilated.
- Clear hair, threads and debris from brushes, filters and the drive area.
- Store the machine with the squeegee and pad raised so they keep their shape.
A short daily checklist, signed by the operator, makes it easy to spot problems before they become repairs.
