Our story
So how clean is really clean? Ask a mother.
Not worrying about the germs on a toy your little one picks up from the carpet and puts in their mouth. Knowing the grit and grime around the kitchen stove is not affecting your family’s health. Making sure dusty windows are not blocking the sunlight from your home. Only a mother understands the effort it takes to keep a home truly clean – and a working mother has her workplace to think of too.
Swachh was born out of the care and concern of one such mother – a banker and homemaker who needed help to keep her home and office in shape. Finding the right help, at the right budget, that she could trust with her home and office was proving to be quite a task. Along the way she realised she was not alone – everyone around her was struggling to balance home and work.
After retiring, she took on the mighty task of building a team of trained, professional housekeepers, equipped them with professional cleaning machines and eco-friendly, industrial-strength cleaning agents, and set out to do what a mom does best: get the job done!
Meet the founder
Hospitality experience behind every clean
Gaurav Vinekar – a trained pilot – founded Swachh in 2018 and has led the business ever since – building a team of trained housekeepers, bringing in professional machines and, more recently, making Swachh an authorised dealer for VOOT cleaning machines.
Before Swachh, Gaurav managed day-to-day operations for over 40 OYO Rooms properties in Candolim, Goa, handling guest issues and keeping customer satisfaction high. Earlier roles in event planning and management and in sales at Chances Resort and Casino built a deep understanding of what hotels, resorts and homeowners in Goa expect. Pilot training adds a habit that shows in every Swachh job: work to a checklist, put safety first and never skip the details.
